Disinfecting isn’t just cleaning. And cleaning alone isn’t disinfecting. Disinfecting is a skill and Paul Davis Restoration has developed basic protocols you can follow to ensure you and your customers safety on every project – We call it: Disinfect In / Disinfect out.

It is simple and can go a long way to help everyone feel safer and live safer.

1. When you arrive on site, don your mask, disinfect your hands and knock on the door.
2. Keep safe distances and note areas you will be moving through and working. Also note areas that might need cleaning first.
3. When you come back in to start work, bring your cleaning and disinfecting supplies.
4. Disinfect the areas you are about to touch, spot clean first if they are dirty.
5. Make sure you read the label and it says it kills bacteria and viruses like Coronavirus.
6. Every disinfectant has a dwell time, make sure you read and follow the time guideline
7. When you spray and wipe, make sure you get all the surface that could be touched.
8. Wiping after you spray helps ensure coverage of the entire surface.
9. When you have completed your work, or at the end of the day, disinfect the areas you handled as you pack up and leave.
